Sigma Delt (fondly known as Sigma Delta Sorority for All Kinds) prides itself on its efforts to allow every sister to be an active member of the house, regardless of her financial circumstances. This year, Treasurer Katie Gandy ’11 has spearheaded an effort to expand Sigma Delt’s scholarship fundraising with a termly event called the Sisterhood and Scholarship Supper (S.A.S.S.). SASS is a potluck event: sisters bring food to Sigma Delt and invite their friends over to eat, where they are asked to donate a few dollars each to Sigma Delt’s scholarship fund in exchange for a scrumptious home-cooked alternative to Food Court. This fall, SASS raised over $300 for in-house scholarships, and we hope that future proceeds will allow us to expand and increase our scholarship program to cover every sister who needs it.
We’re all gettin’ some S.A.S.S.
The more battle-inclined members of Sigma Delt and SigEp braved Saturday’s rain to unleash their inner warrior on the paintball field. As expected, SD dominated.
Paintballs flew, honor was won and lost, and at the end of the day, the tired, muddy paintballers ate some really awesome Chinese food.
